How to make a claim

  • Get in touch with us

    We're sorry for your loss. We know the process of making a claim may feel overwhelming, so we'll do everything we can to support and guide you. 

    The best place to start is by informing us of the claim via phone (0800 22 22 23) or email (ask@pinnaclelife.co.nz). We’ll walk you through the process, let you know what we need and provide you with a claim form.

  • Prepare your documents

    1. Proof of identity, like a birth certificate or passport 
    2. Filled out claim form (contact us)
    3. Any other documentation we've requested
  • Submit your claim

    Submit your claim form and prepared documents to ask@pinnaclelife.co.nz.

  • We'll process your claim

    Our team will review your claim and reach out if any additional information is needed. We aim to process claims within 10 business days after receiving all information.

  • Final outcome

    Once approved, we'll send confirmation, and your claim will be paid out.

When can I claim?

When your policy is claimable varies from policy to policy.

Who gets paid

For most policies, the claim payment will be made to the policy owner, their beneficiary, or the policy owners estate. For a mortgage, income protection, or funeral cover policy, any payment will be made to the nominated beneficiary.
